Jeff Daniels is like a stone in a nice decor. You end up asking what is he doing there. Heavy, umexpressive and not empathetic. An unconvincing acting.
The setting isn't anything special, but it's well done. And even the story, while not original, makes you look. But the episodes are too slow: only approximately 30% of the action has any meaning for the development of the plot. The rest is absolutely boring and only serves to lengthen the broth.
In my opinion, in the film the irreducible lie of optimism is portrayed with evident sarcasm for the purpose of sharing, but also for the purpose of manipulating the audience, which is shown as a shapeless mass without critical thinking. For the rest, or maybe for this very reason, the film is definitely bad.
