I've been looking forward to this! Oh, for anyone that isn't British. This has literally nothing to do with bloody Robin Hood! The story of Robin Hood predates the Peasant's Revolt. Obviously this is just some marketing bollocks to encourage the yanks to watch a film about the 99% fighting the 1% for a fair share of the pie.

It's a good film. Lots of action, with the bare minimum of character development. Makes it very easy to root for the good guys, and despise the bad. It doesn't really do anything to make you feel for the plight of the people being smuggled, and definitely doesn't go on to make you question the current narrative that all migrants/refugees are illegal and undeserving of our compassion. So as one divvy kunt said, there's not any obvious 'woke' in this film. So if you want to watch something that doesn't ask anything from the audience, and spoon feeds you the story like you're a child, It's perfect. And don't get me wrong. I did enjoy it. But It's not going to win any awards, and the acting is a bit poor. But it is fun.

Video and audio are really good. A very small amount of hardcoded Russian subs. But I hardly noticed those. As for the film. Well I love Star Wars, so I enjoyed it a lot. You might, you might not. There's only one way to find out.

I really liked the Jack Ryan TV shows. Watching this, feels like they tried to fit one whole season, consisting of eight one hour episodes, into a one hour and forty five minutes long film. The result is absolutely no tension considering the stakes of the plot. As for the relationship between John Krasinski and Sienna Miller's characters. Nope, doesn't work, total bollocks. This film is heavily relying on you having also watched the TV shows for most of the character development. But it just doesn't work. It's ok if you're bored one Sunday afternoon. But don't expect to get much enjoyment from the experience.
