It was pretty poignant and very well made indeed with good acting overall. However i really don't get how it gets rated 9 on IMDb at the time of my writing this, i mean... that would make it a timeless masterpiece in my book, and that is pretty far from being the case. Way over-rated film which may be due to the fact that the movie hardly gets any press coverage (or so did i read) so yeah... that's one way to balance things out i guess. People say it is heart wrenching and all that but i found it no more or less difficult to watch than any other war drama. Definitely worth a watch... I give it a 6.5/10.

Pretty much awesome and totally unexpected animation with excellent plot and lots of warm feelings. Well deserving of its 7.5 IMDb rating. Highly recommended.

Doesn't qualify as horror in my opinion. The plot revolves around some events repeating themselves over and over again, (see what i did there?) which soon becomes dull and tiresome. The acting is also sub-par, probably due to the writing but still... All in all the movie doesn't have much to show for it and has been over-hyped.

To be honest it wasn't that terrible for the first part. The production value was more than decent and my biggest gripe was with the poorly written dialogues that were delivered without conviction by the seemingly amateur actors. The plot was pretty engaging, specially if - like me - u had prior interest in this specific topic i.e the speculated location of Atlantis in Morocco. Then the second act brutally ruined whatever was good until then, it became more and more rushed and unprofessional from that point on until it all turned into some half-baked project student level of direction/production for the 3rd act. It was cringe and ridiculous but i still managed to sit through it all somehow. I often think it would be better if i did not know French and this movie is a good example as to why. 4/10 Better go listen to some good music or take your dog(s) for a walk or listen to some good music while u take your dog(s) for a walk.

I don't usually like Brendan Fraser but i was most pleasantly engaged by his acting here and the whole thing took me deep in the feels. Excellent movie with a flowing plot, beautiful cinematography and great cast all around, particularly young Shannon Mahina Gorman has a bright acting career in front of her. The score by Jónsi & Alex Somers is absolutely memorable and i had to go download it as soon as the credits rolled. Now onto '37 seconds', the first film by director Hikari, and i am looking forward to what she will be cooking up in the future. Must see if u are into Japanese 'slice of life' type dramas. 7.5/10

What is this even? Why is it tagged as Sci-Fi at all? It doesn't belong in any cinematic genre. It is neither dramatic, nor funny, nor entertaining. 82mn is short, sure enough, and yet the single fact that i watched this film in it's entirety makes me question my own existence. When and how did i become so dull? It is truly depressing to realize that i have been dumbed down to the point of gulping this tasteless drivel for over an hour without reacting. Do yourself a favor and avoid this like the plague.

EDIT: by the end of EP 05 i can no longer recommend this series which has turned into cringe soap opera romantic drama with subpar acting. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Ignore the critics of the first commenter here for none of the issues he mentioned are valid, apart from the plot line which indeed places a simple clerk as the chosen representative of humanity by the aquatic race, for reasons very well established by the narrative. We've seen much more outrageous situations in movies before and i don't see any reason to dismiss this particular work of fiction based on this premise. If this is 'completely bonkers' then i can't imagine what they would say about all superhero movies or most science-fiction films. I actually found myself pleasantly surprised by the direction the story is going and was satisfied by the acting performances. It's nothing grand but i am curious to see where the 3rd episode will take us. Recommended.

convoluted plot line which tried hard to be original but failed as the writing/dialogues didn't allow for suspense and revealed the twist - no so subtly either - much too early on. Logic was also thrown out of the window and into the waters, leaving the audience with no option but to just go with the flow - pun intended obviously. However the flow was mostly contrived and predictable once we were told the underlying reasons for the whole plot. IMDb score steadily goes down - currently at 5.4 - adequately reflecting the mediocre value of the content. Please watch at your own risk but u may end up feeling the movie was watered down and diluted to the point of being uninteresting and boring.

31mn in and i finally decided there was nothing remotely entertaining in this video montage pretending to be a movie from the 80s by the look (grainy af) and feel. Boring and meaningless... i am glad i stopped right there and then. You were warned.

No Other Choice (2025)

Actually got me laughing mindlessly a few times which is no small feat in the current state of cinema. Has a bunch of unexpected turns and twists, in classic Korean fashion. Avoids all the exaggerated child crying/women screaming tropes usually plaguing Korean movies. Good performance from the lead actors too. It's at 7.9 on IMDb as i write this, which i find overrated but i comfortably slap a well deserved 7/10 on this one. Very much recommended for a fun, light hearted evening viewing. Got a higher bitrate encode DLed from a private torrent tracker so i can't rate the A/V quality here.

SPOILERS: The INDIVIDUALIST, a typical 'karen' (spoiled American narcissist), can't stand the idea of a perfectly happy, peaceful and empathetic humanity turned into a hive mind by a 'virus' of alien origin, because she badly wants her old rotten world back. Even though she realizes that her bursts of anger have the potential to kill millions, she continues her routine of drinking and trying to rally the few other immune individuals to her cause, namely: 'save the world'. There are a few interesting plot twists however the core of the series is essentially watching her doing meaningless materialist sh*t and getting wasted, while displaying her savior complex in an obviously pathetic and toxic fashion. It got boring pretty fast but was paced well enough to keep me going. Finished watching EP 07 and still nothing important or meaningful has taken place besides her personal drama unfolding. Underwhelming and wasted potential.

How often do i go blind into a movie without even reading the synopsis? Hmm... pretty much never. And yet this is what happened in this case, which turned out to be the best way to go as i experienced the full surprise when the plot revealed itself after a rather quirky 1st act. Oh boy! I certainly didn't see that coming and the weirdness i first felt soon vanished, replaced by a satisfying feeling when the final act unfolded with all the expected sword action, even though the 'choreography' was done rather poorly imo. All in all a well deserved 6.5 IMDb rating for a no-brainer, straightforward and entertaining low budget samurai revenge flick.

Watched 45mn waiting for something funny or meaningful to happen then stopped and went on to read IMDb reviews only to realize that many viewers shared my impressions that the film is indeed meaningless and overrated. Moreover it is another one of those movies marketed as comedy - dark comedy in this case - but where there is not even remotely a hint of humor throughout. Feels like being scammed into wasting valuable time. Will not watch the rest but it still gets a 4 stars for Rose Byrne solid acting performance.

What on Earth did i just watch and how did i make it through to the end? That is one of the great mysteries of life i guess. I do watch a lot of animation so that's not the issue although i can't exactly praise the art style they went for with this one. But i guess it matches the whole 'glossy psychedelic' theme of the movie, which is what comes to mind when trying to describe this flick. Well, it feels like the production crew are a bunch of Florida hippy friends who organized a birthday party for one of their 8 y/o kid and someone somehow 'mistakenly' brought a big bowl of marshmallow laced with peyote. When everyone got crazy high they had a shared 'revelatory vision' about aliens living underground and they felt compelled to make an animation to inform the public. So the parents took care of the production and they asked the kids to write the story and draw the characters/environment. Not gonna lie, that sh$t is weird AF.

Had to give up on this half way through due to lack of interest. Terrible dialogues, poor acting, lame plot, bad cinematography... couldn't care to see the other half and get to know the ending. Like whatever dude, don't waste any more of my time.
