Am I reading it right? Trump want it to INVADE Greenland, and annex the territory of Canada... Am I too crazy? Is he certifiable? I've heard of someone like that... You know... Hitler, Mussolini... etc., But for f#ucks sake, I could never imagine it will ever to reach a DEMOCRATIC country as US.
@TaxiLux It's called "Freedom of Speech"... Ever heard about that? Bud... it means, you don't have to agree with their statement, but you can't prevent them from exercising their right. In U.S. It's their first amendment in the Constitution, but most developed countries have similar laws. Maybe you don't like it this time, BUT THIS RIGHT MIGHT BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT. Look at Russia now, or N. Korea, they can't even criticize their leader. Is that a world you'd like to live in?
@psarri72 I agree with you on the "scientific approach" to this movie, and normally, that amount of inaccuracies, would have totally ruined any movie for me. However, this time I wasn't even paying attention to those details, because as I've said in my previous post, it's a movie foremost about "MORALITY".
But now that you've pointed out those factual errors, I do think they should have spent more time researching the facts/physics. Still, the movie is certainly worth a watch, but I'm bringing it back to 7-star rating.
With a release of "Gladiator II", it seems some folks crave more content from that era. So I would suggest for you this series. If you missed it in 2005, you'll have a treat now. Hell of a series. I'm going to rate it from what I remember, but season 1 gets a weak 9 stars, and season 2 a 7.5 Worth watching, especially if you like movies/series of that era. [Edit] Just finished the "Those who are about to die" series. I guess, I'm still in that "climate".
I'm totally surprised I've never watched this movie before. The cast is phenomenal. All the stars in their prime acting carrier. The story is complex, convoluted even. I mean, what did you expect from a director like Martin Scorsese. He always picks scripts like that. The movie is about organized crime/mafia, cops, internal investigation, but certainly a different aspect of it. I'm not sure if it's a 7, or an 8-star flick, so I'm giving it a 7.5 😏. Certainly worth a watch.
As for the series... It is very good, about 8 stars. I'd given it 9 stars, if it wasn't for all the "gayness" in between (which I just can't watch). However, just like me, you can just fast-forward past those scenes, as they have very little to do with a story (well some, all you need to know that Titus's brother was gay, and had his "little boy-candy").
The show primarily focuses on political intrigue, corruption, betrayal, and some thrilling four-horse chariot races.
The last two episodes were absolutely spectacular. They brought together all the preceding events in an emotionally charged and satisfying conclusion. You just wish more series would end with such a strong finish, as many tend to disappoint.
Will there be a second season? I hope so, but it seems unlikely, as most of the storylines were neatly wrapped up.
It so happens, right before binging this series, I have watched a two-part documentary about the Colosseum. so I was aware of some myths surrounding it. I was actually aware of those myths even before I watched this documentary, like the "the thumbs up/down", or that the gladiators were dying in the arena (they were too expensive to train then, to just sacrifice then in one bout), or the flooding of the Colosseum to perform sea battles.
Hence, I encourage you to watch this documentary as well, even after watching the show. Ch5 The Colosseum with Dan Snow 1080p HDTV x265-MVGroup
Nowhere near as good as "Cube", however it does have... 'something', that mystery, which pulls you in. One actor, one room, psychological mystery/drama flick. I’ll give it a 5.5. I've seen worse.
S01E02 is available "elsewhere", however I was not able to get S01E05. As for the series itself. It is interesting. I just want to point out one thing. Each of those dictators had one thing in common... they were Paranoid about their safety. That alone makes you think, that they should have been well aware that they are just "EVIL". All that wealth and power, but I just don't know if it is worth worrying all the time, that someone may kill you.
S01E10 was my first episode of the U.S. version of the show. And... I don't know... I kind of thought that British one seemed better. I thought their jokes were... wittier? Even though I'm more familiar about current political events in U.S. than U.K.'s. I'll give it another shot, but I'm not crazy about those comedians. I think Jon Stewart would be perfect for this.
@Adnin I maybe wrong, but it seems, this section should be for the U.S. version of the program. And you did it on the beginning, but now you just post torrents here for the U.K. original version of this program. According to TPB, the latest release of U.S. version was: Have I Got News for You US S01E10 1080p HEVC x265-MeGusta You've had this issue before with the series "Ghosts". Maybe your A.I. or something doesn't recognize the U.S. from U.K. versions of the same titled shows.
In preparation for its sequel, I re-watched this one again. I thought this movie deserves at least a strong 9 stars, but now I'm thinking, I'm adding it to my "All-Time Favorite" list of 10-star movies.
I enjoyed it. First of all... Seldom a sequel is as good as it's original, and even more rare it exceeds its predecessor. The movie story is fine to me. I agree with the comment about the CGI. Monkeys looked very artificial, however, the rhino was awesome. I thought the "mother" character's acting, when trying to convey sorrow, and her crying was quite bad/fake, though she does excel when performing in a more "Stoic" manner. I just don't think that this one, was as emotionally charged as the first one.
So overall... while the original was a strong 9, this sequel deserves a strong 7.5.
Decent standup. Weird thing, he was performing in the middle of the arena, so he had to keep turning. Nice delivery, many "laugh out loud jokes". Maybe only one "callback" which I always like. Still, for the fans of stand-up, it's worth a watch.
