A film based on a true story! Without the photos at the end, it was hard to believe it. Great filming, acting and storyline. The dog bit just brings it all together. Wonderful happy family film. Truly entertaining. I'm so glad I watched it.
unusual take on what happened in Auschwitz, told solely from the German side. It drives home its point very quickly then little happens afterwards. The sound track is amazing!! The point of the film is it shows that anything is possible if you can place a little distance between you and the atrocities. Be that a physical wall or one created by Google Out of sight, out of mind
Visually this is a masterpiece. A must see on the big screen. However the story line and script are so bad that through out the film you are wishing it would just end... and why does every second sentence have to end with Bro?
Being similar to the book my children found it very sad and depressing and wished they hadn't watched it. As an adult its a joy to watch how its filmed though I still wished that he turned into a real boy!
Just like the way Monty Python was created the BBC gave some inspiring actors some money and said surprise us! This is what they came back with. This was a massive hit back in the 80s and sparked a new type of British comedy.
Very slow... and very little happens. After watching I searched up the story and found out there was more going on only its way to deep and arty for me to spot.
The original version from the 70s ?? was banned in the UK because of the bathroom scene. It was a little too strong for its time. This version is still good but the first is still better
To many advertisements. Its one thing to have a notice in the corner but large distracting pop ups and 30 second advertisement breaks every few minutes. I just gave up. The films 3 hours so I will wait for a better copy
As I watched the film I thought that its not funny and they are all acting stupid. Then I started to realize that its not about a meteorite its about the handling of covid. The fake news. money making opportunity and expert incompetence
All three seasons are really good. First season starts off like the original film but soon changes. If you like Jason Bourne type films then you will love this
