American Hostage (2026)

Its quite strange how Hollywood works. This story or portrayal of a based on a true story that was also a very recently released movie called: Dead Man's Wire. Featuring Al Pacino. This is so far a little more based on the truth being (none woke), where the radio disc jockey portrayed in the movie was an African American. I don't understand why the need to change a factual event for social acceptance of a certain portion of a community. Anyway, this follows the true story and Jon Hamm plays the role of the Caucasian disc jockey. At this stage this seems to be a good production and not bad. Obviously Jon Hamm & The acting chops of Giovanni Ribisi stand out as they are both capable actors in their own rights.

Do Us Part (2026)

Actually, this wasn't too bad. Quite entertaining for a low budge, unknown actor/writer's flick. The movie was carried well by the (now known) writer directorial debut, best man. He definitely was the moving force & the best part and actor. It was not earth shattering however, entertaining for those who can stomach romantic comedy genres.

Mayday (2026)

Obvious its not meant to be taken too seriously. Quite Enjoyable. Cheap looking animations and green screen however, just an entertaining jaunt down memory lane for those that were around at that time. @Shareek - Yes, to answer your question.The subs are labeled forced, are the Russian parts translated and in English.

The Weight (2026)

A solid dramatic action with a touch of suspense thrown in for good measure. Although Ethan is getting older. He & Russell held their own as always. It was a marginally darker ambience flick with a slight essence of The Revenant meets Butch Cassidy with a bit of Deliverance thrown in. No, it wasn't that dark and had you definitely barracking for the supposedly not so good guys. Not a great movie but I enjoyed this and would think most mature audiences would also.

The Invite (2026)

Hyper neurotic, cynicism backed by the essence of a depressing end of relationship. Disdain and discord echoed through dialogue and etched with the depressing notes of a solo cello. If you can imagine the ambience of a pre-divorced couple set in a mono toned colored New York apartment. Maybe I was just not in the mood for revisiting the essence of the aforementioned however, I didn't find this either funny nor entertaining. In all transparency, I stopped watching after about 40 min in.

Ride or Die (2026)

I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining this was. I thought it would be just another modern day, women can do anything bit of dribble. However, it was more than that. Of course it has its moments of far fetched-ness, however I found it enjoyable and entertaining. Somewhat of a modern day buddy action movie slant with a slightly deeper character driven entanglement.

The writer is either a complete moron or a really bitter woman that absolutely hates men. The portrayal of a real man is evidently missing. The main character is written as a bumbling incompetent child that shows no genuine inkling of a grown up man. What might be even sadder is that you would hope and assume that this was written in attempt to inspire laughter. Which fails as it is so far fetch from reality. Not much of anything except a time waster.

Scarpetta (2026)

I'm still on the fence with this one. Great cast, acting is up to the level you would expect. They all hold their own. I'm a little perplexed why they chose to go down this alternate timeline approach. It doesn't really lend any more to the story, apart from creating confusion and giving it a tendency to break the rhythm or flow. I am only half way through the second episode. It takes effort in the dual time lines to work out who is who, except the Nicole K's character. I understand that the back in time scenes maybe detrimental to the story. I'm just left feeling, I wish they would have found a better mode of delivery. Maybe, hopefully this Sliding Doors approach will finish and the viewer can just be left to enjoy it. In saying that the movie Sliding Doors handled the to and fro much better. Sorry to those who would like a definitive rating. If I make it through the entire thing, I will update this review.

Solo Mio (2026)

I enjoyed this flick. It is actually one of Kevin's best movies in a long time. Nicole Grimaudo who played Gia actually was a significant moving force for the movie. A wonderful blend of songs laid a nice backdrop to the film. If you want a nice break from the normal array of crap out their in today's world. Have a watch. Although not hysterically funny, you should find a laugh or two and certainly a grin on more than one occasion. Which still is not a bad purpose.

Marty Supreme (2025)

I couldn't agree more with supremekai2.Absolute rubbish. Most stories you have some type of likeable or at least empathetic trait that ties you to the protagonist. Even the most treacherous antagonist characters tend to have something that binds you emotionally. This has nothing. This leads you to not care one iota what happens to the main character. The only thought is, hope this guy doesn't succeed and when will this movie end! Mind boggling!

I was pleasantly surprised, this was actually very entertaining. Like others have said. Lay down any expectation of reality at times and the CG was on the lower side of quality per price ratio. With that said, get your popcorn and feast down for a 2 hour stint of blasts and disfunction.

Trap House (2025)

Basically a built for teens action movie. Don't go in expecting too much in respects of anything including reality. Like others have said, just use it as a paper weight for a breeze in time.

I started watching this after watching Sheriff Country. What a mistake. This is absolutely prosperous. A small town with a catastrophic fire event every day, How ridiculous. The whole shows premise is absurd. I was bored of the fire element after 2 shows, but gave it a 3rd. What a complete waste of time.

Jay Kelly (2025)

A portrait of an aging movie star on a journey of self discovery & realization that choices made in life has consequence. Not a bad movie but certainly not a comedy. More a dramatic interpretation with a few light hearted moments. I enjoyed it, although not one of George's best movies. Adam is really coming into his own with his dramatic roles. Enjoyable for mentally mature audiences that are not bored with nuance and dramatic realities of life.
