The acting in the trailers is below middle school mentality and looks like it was initially filmed with phone quality camera & audio. Downloads already, but no comments? IMDB votes have to be the film crew or cast.
Decent story with a solid cast. Some of the props are not from the time period of the plot, but easily ignored. I don't see this one doing well in theaters if they even show it there. 5/10 rating just based on the character development. The guys grew no facial hair for the week long trip through the jungle.
Not much point to this one- should have been a "made for tv" production or produced by online media: Amazon / Netflix grade. Best watched at 2x speed to keep your attention. Night Rider meets Smokie & the Bandit type movie.
Solid plot with a message that makes me think of the Blossom show from the 90s. Possibly it's just the similar look of the main teen that creates the similarity. Overall it was a good family type movie.
Found a good copy of around 2G in size. I watch the movie because of Chiwetel Ejiofor and no other reason. I read the short synopsis that will just lead you astray as to the plot. Definitely a thought provoking movie that leaves the ending open to some interpretation. Not a movie to watch when you're tired, as there are so many random clips; that mislead you to understanding the plot and the ending. The story that only a broken mind can create and this story really only has a cast of one true person. Not to give away the story or sway anyone's interpretation.... the psychologist is the only real person.
The IMDB trailer looks like a mediocre high school production. I couldn't even finish the trailer. Thus can not imagine trying to watch the movie. Bandwidth not justified!
Just finished the movie with watching it in one sitting. The grand story is already known, but the character development and roles played is superb. Brendon Fraser is so physically obese in the role, but handles the magnitude of the character well. If you haven't watched yet, I do recommend it. It's a war movie, but the story is about the weight of one man's decision and separating personal from the grand scheme of the magnitude that was required. No subs are needed, for English viewing, and they occasionally get in the way of posted text.
Comical at best. Not the HeMan version I grew up with 50 years ago. Later in the series (once a cartoon) there was the flying shuttle, but nothing advanced like what this movie has. I also don't recall guns/ lasers and battle robots being part of the cartoon. I guess they had to incorporate some newer technologies to capture the interest of kids today. Best watched at 2x speed.
Quick paced and decent character development. The story reminds me a lot of Stephen King's work, in his early years, before refining his foreshadowing skills.
